The case study focused on analyzing Mies van der Rohe’s Pavilion Apartments in Newark, New Jersey, a key reference in collective housing. Through this study, it was possible to understand the complex's integration within the urban fabric and the internal organization of the residential units, exploring concepts such as modularity and spatial fluidity.
The physical model played a central role in the research, providing a three-dimensional understanding of the housing block and its impact on the surrounding context. Its scale emphasized the relationship between the buildings and adjacent public spaces, highlighting their prominence within the urban landscape.
