The Wood Pavilion explored the versatility and structural expression of wood as a material. The structure's modular composition is based on the repetition of linear elements arranged on a 1.2m by 1.2m grid, creating a rational and harmonious system. The spaces formed between these elements are enclosed by translucent rice paper panels, filtering light and producing subtle shadow patterns for a distinctive sensory experience.

At the same time, the project provided an in-depth study of the details of wooden construction. Adhering to the logic of repetition and considering the limited access to tools at Aalborg University, all elements were standardized to simplify design and construction.

All beams shared a uniform profile of 5cm by 10cm, and a single joint detail was developed to connect three elements from different directions, ensuring structural efficiency and cohesion.
